Ang Asong Bundok at ang Tagak

Minsan, habang gahamang kumakain ang asong bundok, bumara sa kanyang lalamunan ang isang buto. Hindi ito makahinga at halos mamatay sa hirap na nararanasan.

Nagkataon namang napadaan ang isang tagak na namamasyal noon. Humingi ng tulong ang asong bundok sa tagak.

"Tagak, tulungan mo akong alisin ang butong nakabara sa aking lalamunan. Kapag naalis mo ito, ikaw ay aking gagantimpalaan," nagmamakaawang wika ng aso sa tagak.

Bagama't nagdadalawang-isip ay sumunod na rin ang tagak. Dahil sa mahabang tuka nito, sandali lamang niyang naalis ang nakabarang buto sa lalamunan ng asong bundok. Ngunit nang hingin ng tagak ang ipinangakong gantimpala ng asong bundok ay umangal ito.

"Hindi pa ba sapat na pinayagan kong alisin mo ang iyong ulo sa aking bibig?"

"Sinasabi ko na nga ba," sa loob-loob ng tagak. "Pag nagsilbi ka sa isang masama, huwag kang maghihintay ng gantimpala."
